Lots of Life in the Aviary

There is lots of life in the aviary. I'm excited about the coming months. Hopefully, I will raise a few Norwich as well. I hope to post a few picks soon. This year I have stuck with the quinoa, coucous, higgins egg food, teff, egg, buckwheat, and lintals for the soft food. I add fertile cal to the mix and they eat every little bite and feed it to the young birds. I also add a few green peas.

Canary's going to nest early this year!

I've been so surprised to have my birds ready to nest this early this year. Norwich are still not ready but I have several Northern Dutch Frills, Scots Fancy, Gloster, and so on sitting on eggs. I hope it is a good year.

Banded First Chicks of the Season this week!

I banded my first chicks of the season this week. 3 little Fiorino Frills. Hopefully, they will make it to the perch this next week.

First Babies of the Year

I've got three new little frills in the nest this week. I hope I get them to the perch. I'll post pictures later. I've Paired more birds. Hope it is a good season!

Merry Christmas 2010

I hope everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit. Christ is Born!!!! I'm looking forward to the little boys opening gifts at Nana and Papa's. I'm, also, looking forward to getting together with Nancy and her family, and the Smith Christmas Party. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope the next year is a good productive year for our birds.

Getting ready for the coming Canary Shows!

I'm trying to decide which birds I would like to show. Some show some promise. Others not so much.

We are willing to ship birds cost paid on pick up and a $25 box charge. Continental Airlines. We can also arrange pick up at our show and meetings.
